Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if it's raining?
I keep a keen eye on the weather hourly and by the minute using various apps. Coats and umbrellas usually suffice, depending on location. Should it pour down during the session, we will take suitable cover.
What do I need to wear?
Please wear comfortable shoes that don't mind getting muddy as we may not stick to all the paths. Layers are advisable given the changeable weather, and a rucksack/shoulder bag can free up your arms for a more relaxed walking experience. We will pause for a drink during the session, and there may be some tabletop work.
What do I need to bring to the session?
You don't need to bring anything. Travel light, shoulder bag or rucksack to keep your arms free and your mind open. No need for a notebook or reference materials. I'll have all that.
What's the likely investment?
Can I contact you between sessions?
I welcome any contact between sessions should you experience a bump in the path. Communication is initially via email, text or WhatsApp/Signal, and I will respond within 24 hours either directly to the message to arrange a call or perhaps suggest we cover the topic at the next session.
How confidential are the sessions?
All conversations and notes that are held and taken are made with complete confidentiality between me, the coach and you, the Client. Any sharing outside the relationship would be with your permission. We have all the latest GDPR compliance in place; we store all notes digitally on an encrypted server and prefer using your personal rather than work email with One 2 One coaching programmes. Any third parties I may work with will have signed an appropriate NDA.
What happens to confidentiality if my Company commissions the coaching?
When an organisation commissions coaching for a team member, we will have an open three-way 'contracting' conversation to ensure expectations and desired outcomes are aligned and agree on each party's involvement in the programme. My priority will always remain with the Client and their goals.
Do I have to stick to a programme date?
We will create a consistent frequency of session dates designed to support the coaching programmes, and I recommend we maintain a regular sequencing of the coaching wherever possible.
Am I able to bring my business partner or colleague?
I work with individuals personally or through their organisations, managing partnerships and whole management teams. If you feel part of the programme would benefit from introducing a colleague or partner to one of the sessions, we can work this into the session design. We'd be looking to review the overall programme objectives and composition if their inclusion was more than one session.
Can I bring my dog?
What are the terms and conditions of the coaching agreement?
Who will I be working with during the coaching?
The coaching will be with me, but my support team will handle certain operational matters, which has signed an NDA for all client materials and correspondence. I may introduce third parties for specific outcomes and with prior notice and agreement.
What are the terms of payment?
I appreciate the payment of invoices in full before the first session.
What if I need to cancel a session?
What if I am running late?
What if I arrive early?
For all sessions and locations, I will provide details of a suitable place for you to find refreshments and a reflective pause if you arrive early for a session.
What is the format of each session?
A typical session lasts 90 minutes and would involve 1) an initial walk and talk to get everything out into the open and work through limitations and themes before 2) stopping for a beverage and tabletop work mapping the insights and deep diving into priority areas and then 3) returning to the park to walk through final insights, priorities and actions as we return to the start point to exit the park.
